This is a luxurious pre-owned 100% cashmere black overcoat made of Italian fabric.  The fabric is very soft, in a medium thickness and of very nice quality.  The coat was made in Montreal, Canada by Empire, a manufacturer with a history dating to 1917 and known for its quality.  The coat is made in an easy to wear classic style with higher set medium width notched lapels, three button closure hidden by an overflap, relaxed shoulders, diagonal side pockets, three button cuffs and 18 1/2” kick pleat.  The coat is fully lined in striped black satin rayon.  The coat has a UNITE union label that would date to between 1995 and 2004, so the coat dates to that date range.

Sizing: The size label states size 42 regular, but please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior (please take the thickness of the fabric and the cut of the garment into consideration):

Shoulders: 20” across shoulder/sleeve seam to shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeves: 25 1/2” from shoulder/sleeve seam

Sleeve Inseam: 16 1/2” long

Chest: 48” around, taken under the arms

Waist: 48”

Hips:  50”

Overall length: 49", measured flat

Condition:  Although pre-owned, this coat is in excellent condition - it’s obvious that it saw very little use.  It is very clean and has been well stored. 

This is a great coat - 100% cashmere coats of this quality are very expensive to buy today, so this is a good opportunity to own a high quality overcoat!
